Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
$52,000 and counting!
Marathon #33 is in the books and we thank you for your continued support as we search for an end to ALS. We were priviledged to honor Mike Brown, asst. coach, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. We raised over $52,000 and counting for continued research and the fight continues. Let's all live by Mike's inspirational words: "We have zero days to waste." I hope to be Springside's biggest fan this season.
As always, thanks to the staff at Bonner/Prendie for making our job easy. Thanks to the referees who generously donate their time, the coaches and teams who make our marathon the longest running ALS Community event in the United States. Thanks to the volunteers, Maureen Spaniak, Kathleen Roe, Joan Borowsky, Denise McDonald and ALS United Mid-Atlantic. Special thanks to Phil Martelli, Fran Dunphy, and Fran O'Hanlon, Philadelphia Basketball legends, who are with us every year.
Thanks to Josh Verlin and the City of Basketball Love. If you are basketball fan, you should have a subscription to the outstanding coverage of all that is basketbal by Josh and his staff.
We hope and pray that #33 is our very last marathon, but if it's not, see you for #34 to continue the fight. God bless!
